In quick hands battles at the net, contact happens faster than you can think through it. What many players don’t realize is that your paddle hand is treated as an extension of the paddle itself, which means shots that make contact there can still count as legal. It’s a small rule, but it explains why certain saves, blocks, and reaction plays are valid even when they don’t look clean. Pickleball players, here's a fire hydrant variation for you! Start in table top position, picking one side to make as big a circle with your knee as you can. Move at a slow controlled tempo, working through as large a range of motion as you can. Keep a slight tuck of the pelvis to keep your low back neutral and focus on the glute. Do 5-10 circles each direction, then switch sides.
