For those who have been seeing my daughter’s posts. She was such an inspiration for so many people! Please know that Joei’s (Joelle Wolf) soul is alive and well. I, Joei’s mom, have all her belly casts for all four children and original watercolour prints of her placenta from her last born. Since I was granted rights to post on this page, would you like me to continue? I’m just figuring things out, a year and half later, how to continue on myself. I appreciate your feedback. To go on when they leave

The harder to sleep
And the harder to wake
To know they’re not here
With each breath that we take

It’s hard to look forward
And hard to look back
Stuck in the middle,
Imprisoned and trapped

Where the harder the darkness
The harsher the light,
The harsher this world
That keeps spinning with life

But when that world’s feeling
So painful and hard
And you can’t imagine
Escaping the dark

It might help a little
To know it’s because
The harder we grieve
Means the harder we loved

I’m very apologetic it’s taken me this long to make this post. I am Joei’s (Joelle Wolf) mama. Joei died by su***de last September. She planned on taking her life the week before she actually did it. I was aware she was having suicidal thoughts, because she told me so. I naively thought she just needed some *extra* support and love, which I responded to in one of the best ways I knew how to. By expressing my love for her, all her children, and asking her to reach out for support from people she trusted, before checking herself into hospital care. I wish I had responded differently….
Hindsight is always 20-20.
My baby girl’s death has left a hole in my heart that can never be filled again.
Joei’s true friendships meant the world to her.
If you’re a follower of this page, your presence mattered to her.
A Celebration of Life for Joei will be held on June 22nd. Please message me if you can attend.
We are working on providing real-time coverage for those outside Kelowna, BC.
An invitation will be sent shortly to members of Joelle Wolf’s tribute group. If you have not already joined the group, I encourage you to do so now so you don’t miss the details. Tributes to Joei can also be posted in the group, once you’re a member.
Joei’s presence in this world resonated with countless lives. Thank you, in advance, for honouring her contribution to this crazy life.
