Mary Theresa "MT" Owens passed away at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on February 20, 2026 at the age of 40 years.

MT is survived by: her loving husband, Scott Owens; children, Benjamin, Joanne and April; father, Bill Wallis; siblings, Stephen (Lindsey) Wallis, Timothy (Kylah) Wallis and Kathleen Wallis; and numerous extended family and friends.

The Memorial Service for MT will be conducted from Maidstone Legion Hall, Maidstone, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 2:00 PM MST. If you are unable to attend in person, you may view the live streaming of the service posted on McCaw Funeral Service website under Mary's obituary.

Donations in memory of MT may be made to Okema Society or online at campokema.com

We are thrilled to share with you an exciting new partnership with Gregory's Funeral Home Inc.!

Nearly 17 years ago, I moved to Provost to pursue a dream. Owning a funeral home and serving a community in one of the most meaningful ways I knew how. It’s a dream that has shaped most of my adult life, and one I’ve been incredibly fortunate to live out alongside all of you.

As life moves forward, so do our goals and the ways we carry them. This next chapter doesn’t mean dramatic change or starting over somewhere new. It simply means reshaping parts of my life in thoughtful ways that allow for growth, balance, and continued purpose.

Effective January 1, 2026, Gregory’s Funeral Home Inc. transitioned ownership. It gives me the privilege of introducing Joel and Brett McCaw - colleagues I have worked alongside and trusted for over 15 years.

The McCaw family is deeply rooted in funeral service, much like we are. They carry the same authentic desire to show up fully for families during times of loss. Steady, present, and compassionate.

Here’s what matters most: I am still here.

I continue to help run and operate the funeral home in my regular role. Provost has become my home in every sense of the word, and it will remain my home. I’m not going anywhere.

This decision was made with great care and intention to ensure that our families, our team, and our community would not feel the disruption that can sometimes come with change. Joel, Brett, and I are completely aligned in that commitment.

In many ways, my hope is that you won’t notice anything different at all. The same faces. The same care. The same quiet dedication to walking alongside you in moments that matter most.

Over the years, you have placed immense trust in us. This message is simply an extension of that relationship, an honest and purposeful update because you deserve transparency about the people who serve you.

We feel hopeful. Grateful. Excited for what this next chapter allows - combining experience, continuity, and renewed energy to continue caring for this community.

Thank you for welcoming us into your families and into your hearts. It is not something I take lightly.

I look forward to many more years of showing up when you need us most.
