It’s that time of year again! ❄️☃️🌨️ With the weather last week we want to touch on a few tips to navigate those icy sidewalks and stay upright this winter!
1. Wear the right shoes! Choose boots with good tread and grip. Ice grippers that slip over your shoes are a game-changer for longer walks.
2. Keep your hands free. Don’t stuff them in your pockets—keep them out for balance. Skip carrying heavy bags when possible.
3. Watch where you step. Avoid shiny, “black ice” patches. Step on snow if it’s available to give you the extra grip.
4. Slow down & stay focused. No texting while walking! Give yourself extra time so you’re not rushing on slippery surfaces.
5. Strengthen your core & improve balance�A strong core = better stability. Ask us about simple exercises you can do at home to help this.
