The Bea Fisher Organization has three companies governed by a Board of Directors for each company. The Bea Fisher Centre Inc. Incorporated in 1972, provide the various programs and services which operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Their diverse talents and presence in the community help the clients integrate in the community and monitor the many programs.
The Bea Fisher Foundation is the

fund raising and publicity entity for the organization.
Bea Fisher Enterprises Inc. was created to generate revenue for the programs and services of the Centre. Managing the business affairs of the Bottle Depot where People with Developmental Disabilities are employed in the businesses and contribute significantly.

WHY RECYCLE???

Albertans recycle 85% of their refundable containers - over 2 billion annually! All those empties could almost fill one of the Great Pyramids of Egypt!!

How about the 15% that don't get cycled? Here are a few reasons for ALL of us to do our part to recycle EVERY refundable container.
1. Recycling reduces waste which means less pressure on local landfills.
2. Recycling preserves natural resources for future generations.
3. Recycling promotes energy conservation. Compared to harvesting virgin natural resources, recycling often requires much less energy to create the same product.
4. Recycling is an opportunity to generate funds for local clubs, organizations and community groups. If you’d like to support Bea Fisher, but travelling to the Depot is too far out of the way, our donation trailer is conveniently and centrally located at the north end of the Superstore parking lot.
5. Recycling is an opportunity to earn cash for yourself.

DONATION ACCOUNTS

Did you know that over 80 community groups, schools, churches, clubs, sports teams and organizations are registered to accept donated containers from their local supporters? When you bring your containers to the Depot, check the list by the cash dispenser, then let us know who you would like to donate them to. It's that simple! That's a double win - recycle your containers to help a local group!

Last year the Bea Fisher Bottle Depot paid out over $100,000 to local groups through donation accounts and bottle drives. If your group wants to open a donation account, give us a call at 780.874.1800.

The Friends in Motion Self Advocacy Group came up with a plan to give back to the community that has shown them so much support over the years.
They spent an evening making homemade soup for the Lloydminster & Vermilion for Equity group that will be handed out by their street team last week, for those in need.
It was a fun evening that allowed us to work on strengthening our kitchen skills, socializing with our friends, while giving back to our great community!

MAKING SPRING CLEANING PAY OFF… LITERALLY!

Spring cleaning can mean clearing out that pile of refundable containers that have piled up over the winter. If that’s you, here are a few helpful tips for your next trip to the Bea Fisher Bottle Depot…

Ensure your containers are empty and the bags you bring them in are free of garbage and debris. That includes removing unsecured caps and loose juice box straws.
- Our automation machinery works fast, but completely or even partially full containers, debris, dirt and garbage slows the process down. Bringing in empty, clean containers shortens everyone's visit.

Keep labels on your containers as much as possible
- Labels tell us where a container was distributed and like all other Alberta depots we have rules which tell us which containers we can accept and which we can’t. We’ll do our best to give you a refund even if a label is missing, but a clean label is the best way to make sure you get the refund you are expecting.
