Don’t let that pesky eyelash give you a fright this Halloween 👻 Here’s how to safely remove it:
Don’t pinch or rub your eye. That can scratch your cornea or push the eyelash deeper.
Blink a few times — sometimes your natural tears will flush it out.
If it’s still there, use sterile saline or artificial tears to gently rinse the eye. Tilt your head and let the fluid run across your eye so the lash washes out.
If you can see the eyelash on your lower lid (not stuck on your eye), you can very gently remove it with clean fingers or a tissue, but only if it’s clearly accessible.
If the lash stays stuck or your eye feels irritated afterward, it’s best to have an optometrist remove it safely (that’s what we’re here for 💜).
