November is Fall Prevention Month!
It only takes a few minutes a day to make a big difference. Simple balance exercises, like standing on one leg (with support) or walking heel-to-toe, can strengthen your muscles and improve stability, helping you stay steady and confident on your feet.

If you’d like guidance or want your home checked for fall risks, give us a call. We’re here to help you move safely and stay independent.

🍂 Raking leaves and tackling fall chores? Don’t let aches and strains pile up with the leaves! 🍁

Occupational Therapists recommend a few simple tips to keep you moving safely:
• Choose ergonomic tools and remember to take breaks
• Bend at the knees (not your waist!)
• Switch hands often to avoid overuse
• Stretch before and after yard work

With the right strategies, fall clean-up can be safe, comfortable, and even enjoyable. OTs can help you adapt seasonal tasks—indoors and out—so you can stay active without the strain.

October is Occupational Therapy Month. It’s a time to recognize the vital role Occupational Therapists (OTs) play in helping people of all ages live with greater independence and confidence in their daily lives.

OTs support clients by:
• Guiding safe returns to work or school after illness or injury
• Helping manage household tasks more safely and efficiently
• Improving mobility, focus, and self-care
• Supporting mental health and resilience
• Adapting environments for safety, comfort, and accessibility

If everyday tasks are starting to feel harder than they used to, remember—you’re not alone. Occupational therapy can help you keep moving forward.
