The ability to jump isn’t just for athletes — it’s a true measure of power, coordination, and function. It means your body can produce force, react quickly, and move efficiently when it needs to.

In real life, that shows up more than you’d expect — catching yourself from a fall, stepping up quickly, reacting to the unexpected, or simply moving with confidence and control.

The reality is, many people lose this ability over time… not because they can’t, but because they stop training it.

Meet this year’s most awkwardly amazing trophy… our little cheering gnome. 🏆😄

He may be a little funny-looking, but he stands for something pretty special. This trophy represents the Spirit of the Fortis Intramural Open — awarded to someone who truly lives the Fortis values throughout the three weeks of the Open.

This goes to the person who helps make sure no one feels left out, who brings energy to the room, who encourages others to get the most out of themselves, and who reminds us that the Open is about more than just workouts — it’s about lifting everyone around you.

This year we are honored to celebrate Do as being that person. ❤️

Do has been a huge part of the Open from start to finish. She tackled the WODs in the morning, then came back to judge all night during Friday Night Lights — and sometimes even Sunday too. She cheered on everyone she judged, not just her own teammates, and brought the kind of support and positivity that makes Fortis what it is.

A very well-deserved congratulations to Do for being the true Spirit of the Fortis Intramural Open.

And as for our little gnome friend… he still needs a name.
