Keto Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Lemon Zoodles
Ingredients
For the Steak:
1 1/4 lbs (450g) sirloin steak, cubed
1/4 cup coconut aminos (keto-friendly substitute for soy sauce)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp hot sauce (adjust for your spice tolerance)
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Fresh cracked black pepper to taste
For the Garlic Butter Sauce & Zoodles:
4 medium zucchini, spiralized (or pre-packed zoodles if life’s too short)
1 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp unsalted butter (keto calls for the real deal)
2 tsp minced garlic (or triple that if you’re feeling bold)
1/4 cup beef broth
1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional, but it’s keto spice heaven)
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tbsp minced parsley (for that green pop of “I tried”)
Instructions
Marinate Like You Mean It
Combine coconut aminos, olive oil, hot sauce, lemon juice, and pepper in a bowl. Toss the steak cubes in this savory bath and let them soak for 20 minutes while you ponder life’s mysteries—or just prep your zoodles.
Searious Steak Goals
Heat olive oil in a large, hot skillet. Drain steak bites and sear them in batches for about 3-4 minutes until they develop that perfect golden crust. Channel your inner chef and resist the urge to stir immediately—it’s all about that crust.
Butter Me Up
Add butter and garlic to the skillet, swirling them around like a romantic dance. Coat the steak bites in this glorious sauce, then remove them to a plate to rest while you work on the zoodles.
Zoodles in the Spotlight
In the same skillet, melt butter, then stir in lemon juice, chili flakes, and beef broth. Simmer the sauce until it reduces slightly, making your kitchen smell like heaven. Toss in your zucchini noodles and cook for 2-3 minutes—just enough to warm them without turning them into a soggy mess.
Reunite and Serve
Push the zoodles to the side and bring the steak bites back to the party. Reheat for a minute, garnish with parsley and thyme, and marvel at your creation. Enjoy!!!!
