Anxiety can be exhausting!
Did you know that the experience of anxiety doesn't end the moment we start to feel better... it's side effects and sensations can instead start to add up and have longer term impacts!
As a result, it's really important to practice down-regulating activities to help shift our sympathetic nervous system state to a parasympathetic nervous system state. This is were we feel safe, calm, connected, and grounded.
Reminder: making changes takes time, and new practices can feel uncomfortable and scary! It makes sense that this is hard to do, so hopefully we can encourage you to have kindness and compassion towards yourself (and others) as you work through anxiety.
