East-Ottawa- Cooking Program
youth with ASD, ages 10 to 16, are invited to join our 4-weeks of cooking classes.

Baking & Cooking Workshops for Youth (Ages 10–16)

Join us for a fun and supportive hands-on culinary experience designed especially for youth on the autism spectrum! Our Baking & Cooking Workshops offer a welcoming environment where participants can explore new skills in the kitchen while learning at their own pace. Guided by caring instructors, and supported by caregivers, participants will enjoy working together to make delicious recipes while building confidence, coordination, and creativity.

These workshops emphasize practical learning through sensory-friendly activities, allowing each participant to engage in a way that feels comfortable and empowering with a focus on fun!



Please note:

• Participants should be comfortable standing for up to 90min at a time while working at their stations.

• Wheelchair accessibility is available throughout the facility and at workstations.

• Certain tactile and fine motor skills will be needed for handling kitchen tools and following step-by-step instructions.

• One caregiver for each participant is required to participate to support as needed.

Come cook, bake, and share the joy of food in a positive, inclusive space where every learner shines.

Registration Fee: $25.00
Location: The commercial kitchen at 30 Rosemount ave (Hintonburg) Ottawa ON K1Y 1P4
Time: Tuesdays from 7:00 - 8:00 pm
Dates: Nov 4th, 11th,18th, 25th

For safety reasons, caregivers are required to always be present participants during the sessions.

📣We are thrilled to announce that Ability Hive will be hosting our very first Pop-Up Shop at the St. Laurent Shopping Centre from Thursday, October 16 to Sunday, October 19!

We will be in the same corridor as the Toys “R” Us and right across from the Cinnabon!

We are currently getting the space ready, but we will be sharing photos and video on launch day tomorrow!
