Physio Fact: Physiotherapy can help to decrease pain.

Although pain killers 'cure' your pain in the moment, they are actually only masking your pain. Physiotherapy can help you strengthen muscles & increase your range and flexibility of your joints which helps to decrease pain & prevent future re-injury.

Muscle cramps:
Have you ever been awakened in the night or stopped your activity due to a sudden cramp?
A muscle cramp is a sudden & involuntary contraction of one or more of your muscles. It can cause severe pain, though generally harmless. You might also feel or see a hard lump of muscle tissue beneath your skin.

Physio fact: Physiotherapy before surgery

Pre-operative physiotherapy has proven to produce better outcomes following surgery. There are more chances of losing mobility after surgery. However, individuals who have had preop therapy generally have increased strength & stamina following surgery, as well as a greater understanding of how to manage all aspects of their rehabilitation which can shorten their hospitalization.

Ankle sprain is one of the most common musculoskeletal injuries which typically happens when you accidently twist or turn your ankle in an awkward way. That can stretch or tear ligaments that help to hold your ankle bones together. However, proper physiotherapy treatment can help to reduce pain, swelling, regain strength and return to normal activities.

Book your appointment for rehab of your ankle as untreated sprain ankle can turn into a serious chronic instability.

Text neck syndrome is a term used to describe pain or injuries due to overuse/sustained looking down at any wireless device. The other reasons could be improper body position while reading, watching TV or working on a laptop.

To avoid this, hold your phone/ device at eye level as much as possible, take frequent breaks from your phone/laptop to avoid looking down for extended periods, work on your flexibility to reduce muscle tightness and exercise regularly to maintain good muscle strength.

If pain continues or worsens, book your appointment for physiotherapy treatment to prevent further damage in your neck.
