Feeling discouraged?

Samuel L. Jackson didn’t get his breakout role until he was in his 40s, with his performance in “Pulp Fiction” in 1994.

J.K. Rowling was in her 30s when she started writing the Harry Potter series, which went on to become one of the best-selling book series in history.

Morgan Freeman gained widespread recognition in his 50s and 60s for roles in films like “Shawshank Redemption” and “Driving Miss Daisy.”

Julia Child didn’t start her career as a chef until her late 30s and became a culinary icon.

Think it’s too late? Success can come at any age, and it’s never too late to pursue your passions and achieve your goals. This is YOUR journey and you’re going at the right pace. You’re just on time!

Just in case you need this reminder…

While self-care is crucial for mental well-being, it’s important to remember that it’s not a one-size-fits-all solution.

True healing often requires deeper introspection, understanding underlying issues, and sometimes seeking professional support. Self-care is a valuable tool, but it’s just one piece of the puzzle.

Don’t hesitate to reach out for help when needed. You’re not alone on this journey. 💙

Feeling constantly overwhelmed and numb? You may be in survival mode.

Survival mode is a state of feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and constantly on the brink of falling behind in your daily responsibilities. It’s a mode where you prioritize immediate needs and survival instincts over long-term planning and self-care.

Living in survival mode can affect your physical and mental wellbeing, which could lead to increased stress, fatigue, and burnout. 😰

We’re here to help you take control of your life, prioritize what’s most important and set boundaries that honour your wellbeing.

We have some great news! 🎉

Shaianne is now a full-time member of the CRPO. What’s that, you ask? CRPO is the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, which is a regulatory body for psychotherapists within our province.

Being a full-time member means that you are a registered or licensed practitioner in that profession and are subject to its regulations and standards.

Her combination of education, clinical experience, and high ethical standards make us so excited for what is next for her!

Join us in congratulating Shaianne on this new chapter!

There’s some changes at Drice Psychotherapy!

Last month, we said goodbye to Ryan and Tola, who have started their own private practices.

Shaianne is now a full member of the CRPO and is taking on new clients. Samaneh is fully booked for reduced fee therapy. Carolanne is also fully booked, and has a waitlist available to join.

Last but not least, we’re excited to highlight Play Therapy. Shamira will be taking on some new clients beginning this month.

We can’t wait to continue to serve you and work towards active healing!

We’ve all heard about “hot girl summer”, but have you taken the time to pause, breathe and be intentional? Colder summer days remind us to slow down and be fully present in the moment. Here are our favourite mindful girl summer activities:

🥙 Have a picnic with your loved ones
🧘🏽‍♀️ Meditate or do yoga outdoors
🪨 Take a hike with your favourite playlist
🌊 Spend the day relaxing at the beach and listening to waves
🎨 Host a paint nite with friends
