Starting Monday, December 1, we are launching a new recreation membership and admissions model for drop-in fees, multi-visit passes, and memberships.

This new system makes fees more consistent and gives you flexibility to choose activities that fit your budget.

Here’s how it works:
- Basic – Popular activities like lane/public swims, skating, and gym sports.
- Plus – Activities needing specialized spaces or equipment, like cardio-weight rooms, squash/racquetball, hockey, and curling.
-Super – Resource-intensive activities like group fitness classes, aquafitness, wave swims, and rock climbing.

The Province of Ontario is ending the use of automated speed enforcement cameras. The change will take effect November 14.

Automated speed enforcement cameras will continue to be used in school zones and community safety zones until that date.

Any infractions incurred by motorists prior to November 14 will still be processed and vehicle owners will be required to pay the fine, even if it arrives after the repeal date.

The repeal does not affect red light cameras. Any infractions captured by these cameras will continue to be processed and mailed to vehicle owners as usual.

Fines for certain offences – like speeding or careless driving – issued by Ottawa Police Services within these designated zones will remain doubled.
