Inflammation is a part of the body's natural immune system and is necessary for protecting and healing the body. However, when inflammation becomes chronic, it can cause or contribute to many physical and mental illnesses.
In this workshop, Aglaia and Thomasina will explain some of the causes and mediators of chronic inflammation. They will discuss how it affects the brain and the role of inflammation in depression and other mental health conditions. And they will provide several evidence-informed methods to help reduce chronic inflammation, improve brain health, and promote wellness.
