My work with nature therapy is rooted in existentialism and a great love, and affinity for, the more-than-human world.

I believe there has to be some level of stewardship and care for the natural world to engage with this work. & especially as an art therapist! There has to be an eco-consciousness and a recognition of the interconnected web of life...

March 15th-21st is Creative Arts Therapies Week & I am so beyond grateful for being able to be a part of this wonderful and innovative profession.

Creative Arts Therapies show up in different ways, the work I do is specifically Art Therapy, with some fun niches focusing on the use of video games, anime, and other media (typically labelled "Nerd" or "Geek" culture).

I have found the inclusion of Geek and Nerd materials to be incredibly helpful for body image & self esteem, relationships, gaining confidence and developing self-compassion and acceptance.

Shout-out to my favorite Animal Crossing villager Apple for making it into this post! She's a body image queen 👸 ❤️

March is Endometriosis awareness month & you are invited to share any of the following:

1.) Your endo story

2.) Poetry reflecting your feelings and personal experience

3.) Visual art exploring what it feels like to live with endometriosis

4.) Collage, assemblages or clay and figural representations of what it means to you to live with endometriosis

5.) What you want people to know about endometriosis, and dispelling any misconceptions about it

6.) What it feels like to be validated vs invalidated and any experiences of medical gaslighting
