Using the sauna benefits your Heart Health ❤️ 🩺
A Finnish study looked at 2,000 sauna users over 20 years and found that using the sauna 4 to 7 days a week decreases risk of death by 40% and using the sauna 2 to 3 days a week decreases risk of death by 24%. The control group (compare group) in this study used the sauna once a week.
🔥 Ideal temperature is 70-90 C (78 C was done in the study)
🔥 Ideal time is 20 mins; but it’s best to listen to your body (watch out for light headedness) and work your way up if needed.
🧬 The science behind extreme heat therapy is from Heat Shock Proteins (HSP). These help repair damaged proteins which is a hallmark of the aging process. In addition, they activate our internal antioxidant systems to further help our cells repair.
