Hello, everyone!
I hope that you are all doing well and are taking the very best aspects from this very unusual growth time and learning where to place your focus, such as Self Care and personal growth and success. We as a team certainly are!
Yes, you have not heard from us for so long now, because we have been so busy, pivoting and adapting. I have an update.
Stacey Kirkpatrick is in her own office next door to mine and our other colleague, Yolande Herbst, is growing her business beautifully, so we are thinking of expanding in our section of the Kanata Office Centre. As a Senior Supervisor, I am always being approached to supervise Registered Psychotherapist Qualifying interns and I am looking to take on maybe two more within these next months, to grow our wonderful team.
I approached Algonquin College final year computer studies students, who were offering to design websites/ pages for free, to work with us on improving our internet presence. This has been the idea for a while and now it's time. This will take the form of keeping this page and maybe even the name, but making it into an umbrella of services of therapists, who work with us collaboratively, yet independently. This model has really worked for us.
If you are a local therapist of any kind yourself, please also feel free to join the FB group we started, called Kanata Carleton Therapist Network. Stacey runs monthly online meetings at present to discuss all sorts of issues concerning tips to run a successful practice, case consults etc, all free of charge. We also refer to each other, because we champion collaboration. There is more than enough work for everyone!
I want to thank my wonderful, loyal clients and all of my new clients, for their ongoing support of local small businesses. We are 3 years old already! I really feel deeply blessed by the abundance in my life and the fact that I can keep my gorgeous office, which I use as my sanctuary, too.Hahaha!
'Build it and they shall come!'
Indeed, you have all come to visit and I so enjoy that! I am appreciating every moment of being your support person during these interesting times.
I am now seeing a few vulnerable clients in the office, following safety procedures and I also offer online Zoom and 'phone sessions, too.
I am a Board Member of the Single Mom's Buddy Program, a network created by Natasha Rose, a Life Coach, for single moms during Covid-19.Each mom gets a Buddy / support person and many resources are shared. If you need support as a single mom in Ottawa, please join this group FB! At present, it is also a Non-profit Organization.
Onwards and Upwards from here, folks! May we continue to build from strength to strength. I have the best colleagues and clients ever!π
Love and Light,
Vivienne Filiatreault RP
