Today we came together for a truly special Remembrance Day ceremony.❤️🌺

It was a touching morning filled with reflection, gratitude, and togetherness. We were honoured to welcome Sydney, our Activities Manager’s dad Ron, who joined us for the service. Ron proudly served in the Army as a Captain, and it meant so much to have him with us to share in this moment of remembrance.

Our resident Roland gave a moving reading of In Flanders Fields— his voice carrying the words with such grace and feeling. Jim a WW2 veteran had the great honour of laying the first poppy on the wreath, a gesture that reminded us all of the sacrifices made and the deep respect we hold for those who served.

We’re so thankful to everyone who participated and to all who joined us in remembering the brave men and women who fought for our freedom. It was a beautiful ceremony that truly touched our hearts. ❤️

☕ Step into a Spoonful of Nostalgia! ☂️

This afternoon’s Fork ’n Film featured a whimsical screening of Mary Poppins — complete with delightful finger sandwiches, classic tea service, and plenty of smiles all around. It was practically perfect in every way!

To make the day even sweeter, our talented Activity Manager Sydney prepared yummy egg salad sandwiches, cream cheese and cucumber bites, and homemade tea biscuits this morning.

Our amazing Food Service Manager, Tatiane, wasted no time putting her little helper to work in the kitchen today — together they whipped up a batch of homemade banana chocolate chip muffins for everyone to enjoy! 🍌🍫🧁

🎉 What a week! 🎉
A huge THANK YOU to our amazing Activity Team for making this past week of the World Series so much fun and memorable. From planning watch-parties at the very last minute to making everything happen behind the scenes — you all knocked it out of the park.

Special shout-out to our Activity Manager, Sydney — you ran around picking up all the supplies, kept things on track at every turn, and truly made it all come together. And how cool is this: CBC News actually reached out to Sydney! The timing didn’t work out this time, but the fact that they did shows just how awesome our team’s work was.

Also — there are some team members who helped make these events happen and didn’t end up in the photos. You know who you are: your efforts definitely did not go unnoticed.
Thanks again to everyone involved.

You helped create something really special for us all, and I’m so proud of what we pulled off together. Here’s to more fun, community and great times ahead! 🙌
