We kicked off Christmas Eve the best way—in our classic PJs with a pancake breakfast! 🥞✨ Huge thanks to our amazing activity team for the yummy pancakes, and to Shanaz for making a lovely Grinch cookie cake that we all absolutely loved 💚🎂. We all agreed: every Christmas Eve should start with pancakes and cookie cake! The morning was made even more special with lovely entertainment by Malcom Wade—such a perfect way to begin the celebrations 🎶🎄

Today, we had brunch with the Grinch, and wow, did the Grinch's heart grow three sizes bigger after seeing all the love Foxview could offer!
Everyone was excited to see him, but there was one person who was a bit scared of this Grinch. They thought he might steal the holiday spirit, but once he started sharing stories about his transformation and how he learned the true meaning of Christmas, everyone warmed up to him. We enjoyed a festive meal filled with laughter and holiday cheer!

Sydney’s Annual Meatball Dinner

We were so happy to continue our annual tradition of Sydney’s meatball dinner before the holidays. This years meal was truly special, featuring hand-rolled sweet and sour meatballs, rice, Caesar salad, and fresh buns.

For dessert, sydney treated everyone to her stick toffee pudding, which was the perfect sweet ending to a wonderful meal.

A huge thank- you to Brenda, our volunteer, Tammy, our marketing manager, and Jen our activity assistant, for helping make this the best meal yet! Thanks to their support and hard work, we were able to serve a delicious dinner to over 35 residents and guests!

So thankful for another Memorable night shared together ❤️

Thanks to your incredible generosity, we raised over $900 for the Ottawa Food Bank!💙 We truly can’t thank everyone enough—whether you picked up cards, handmade mitts or hats, baked goods, stopped by our holiday bazaar, used our gift-wrapping service, or made a donation. Every single contribution made a difference.

Because of you, we can’t wait to drop off this donation at the Ottawa Food Bank and help support our community this holiday season. Thank you for making this such a huge success! ✨

We’re always grateful for our amazing co-op students! They’re often the first ones to jump in, try new ideas, and bring fresh energy to our residents. Their creativity helps us learn, grow, and improve—and we love seeing them take the lead the following month as those ideas come to life.

✨ Reindeer Trail Mix Bar Fun! ✨

Today we set up the cutest Reindeer Trail Mix Bar, and it was such a hit! Everyone got to build their own magical mix with all the yummy fixings, including:

🦌 Coconut
🦌 Marshmallows (the perfect fluffy touch!)
🦌 Dried cranberries
🦌 Chocolate chips
🦌 Peanuts
🦌 Dried mango

And of course, we sprinkled in a little holiday magic to make every scoop extra special. ✨🎄

It was the sweetest little snack station—colorful, cozy, and full of festive cheer. The perfect treat to nibble on while getting into the holiday spirit! ❤️
