When I first came to Canada, everything felt new and not always welcoming.

I remember walking into rooms where conversations happened around me, but not always with me. Being told my name was “too difficult” to pronounce was something I heard more than once.

As a newcomer, you quietly carry a question:
Will there ever be a space where you truly feel seen and valued?

Last week at Parliament Hill, during the International Women’s Day gatherings hosted by Elevate International, I experienced something powerful.

I was in rooms where women weren’t competing for space — they were creating it for one another.

Doors were opened.
Voices were amplified.
And conversations about leadership, equity, and allyship reminded us that real change happens when we lift each other as we rise.

I’m grateful to Solange Tuyishime Keita and the Elevate International team for creating spaces like this.

Because leadership is not just about entering the room.
It’s about holding the door open for the people who come after you.

Many women are told it’s just stress.
But sometimes, the changes you’re feeling are part of perimenopause.

Mood shifts.
Sleep disturbances.
Unexpected fatigue.
Body changes that feel unfamiliar.

Your body is not failing you.
It’s transitioning.

Perimenopause is a natural phase, but very few women are taught how to understand or support their bodies through it.

With the right knowledge, care, and support, you can navigate this phase with confidence, strength, and clarity.

Let’s start talking about what women were never taught about their bodies.

Today the world is watching cricket. 🏏
Stadiums are packed.
Screens are on.
Millions are cheering for the World Cup Final.

But here’s an honest question.

We often say:
“Women athletes don’t get paid the same.”
“They don’t get the same sponsorships.”
“They don’t get the same recognition.”

But how often do we show up for their games?

Do we watch their matches?
Do we buy their jerseys?
Do we share their highlights?
Do we bring our friends to support them?

Because equity in sports doesn’t come from conversations alone , it comes from action.

Men’s sports became global industries because fans invested in them with their time, attention, and money.

And as women, we also carry a responsibility.
If we want women athletes to rise, we must stand behind them.

Watch their games.
Celebrate their wins.
Talk about their achievements.
Encourage young girls to play.

Talent has never been the problem.
Opportunity and visibility are.

Let’s stop just talking about equity in sports.
Let’s show up for it.

🏏 Equity in sports starts with us.

She Can Do It.

Not because someone allowed her to.
But because she chose to believe she could.

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate women who keep showing up breaking barriers, pursuing their goals, and redefining strength in their own way.

Every step forward, every voice raised, every boundary challenged moves the world a little closer to equality.

Here’s to the courage, resilience, and quiet determination of women everywhere.

Happy International Women’s Day.

Let’s Talk Bold.

The truth is many women grow up without ever being properly taught about their own bodies.

What’s normal.
What’s not.
What changes with age, pregnancy, or hormones.

When conversations about intimate health are avoided, confusion and shame often replace knowledge.

Every woman deserves accurate information about her body, including what’s happening “down there.”

Because awareness leads to confidence.
And confidence leads to better health decisions.

Let’s talk openly. Let’s talk honestly.
Let’s talk bold.

Hitting puberty too early?

More parents are noticing body changes earlier than expected but very few know what’s considered normal.

Early breast development. Sudden growth spurts. Mood shifts. Body odor.

It can feel confusing. Even worrying.

The key? Awareness without panic.

Recognising the signs early allows better care, guidance, and emotional support especially for young girls navigating changes they may not fully understand yet.

This is a conversation every parent should feel confident having.

Punch didn’t understand what was happening around him.
He simply held on to what made him feel safe.

Comfort has the power to reassure us in moments of uncertainty.

For many girls, understanding their bodies can feel confusing, unfamiliar, and sometimes overwhelming. The right knowledge changes that.

This book was written to help girls understand their bodies with clarity, confidence, and comfort — so they never have to feel unsure or alone in their journey.

Because when girls understand their bodies, they grow up feeling stronger, safer, and more confident in themselves.

Puberty doesn’t begin with periods. It begins with questions.

As a pelvic health physiotherapist, I often meet girls who are confused, scared, or unprepared—simply because no one explained what was happening to their bodies. Puberty can begin as early as 8–10 years, and changes like breast development, discharge, and emotional shifts are completely normal.

But when girls don’t understand these changes, they grow with fear instead of confidence.

This is why education matters.
This is why honest conversations matter.
This is why guidance matters.

When a girl understands her body, she doesn’t feel ashamed. She feels empowered.

I wrote this book to give girls the clarity, reassurance, and confidence I wish every girl had while growing up. A safe, honest guide to help them understand their bodies—not fear them.

Comment and I’ll share the link with you.

If these words make you uncomfortable…
that’s exactly why we need to say them.

Vaginismus.
Dyspareunia.
Recurrent UTIs.
Dysmenorrhea.
Vulvovaginitis.

In a country with advanced healthcare, women still hesitate to talk about pain.
They delay appointments.
They normalize discomfort.
They feel dismissed.

Painful intimacy is not “just stress.”
Severe period pain is not “something you push through.”
Recurring infections are not “bad luck.”

Women’s health deserves clarity.
Compassion.
Evidence-based care.

This space is for open conversations — without shame, without whispers, without apology.

Because silence doesn’t protect women.
Education does.

Save this.
Let’s normalize speaking about pelvic health.

Valentine’s Day comes with roses, plans… and sometimes, unspoken expectations.

But intimacy is not a performance.
It’s not something you switch on because the date says February 14.

If you’re tired, uncomfortable, emotionally distant, or simply not ready — that matters. Your body and your feelings are not obligations.

Real love doesn’t rush.
It doesn’t pressure.
It doesn’t measure connection by one night.

The strongest relationships are built on safety, communication, and respect — not silent expectations.

This Valentine’s, choose connection.
Choose understanding.
Choose the bond that makes you feel seen.

Because intimacy should feel mutual… not mandatory.

Hot flashes get the spotlight.
But menopause is so much more than that.

The body shifts quietly — joints feel stiffer, sleep changes, anxiety creeps in, the pelvic floor weakens, digestion alters, energy dips. None of this is “just ageing.” And none of it should be dismissed.

Menopause isn’t the end of vitality.
It’s a transition that deserves understanding, support, and care — not silence.

When women are informed, they’re empowered.
And when the body is supported, this phase doesn’t have to feel overwhelming.

Let’s talk about the whole story.
Because women’s health doesn’t pause — it evolves.
