Not sure about you, but I don't feel much different on the inside than when I was 25. Our clients, who are in their late 80's and 90's say that they don't feel much different than 25 on the inside either!! Food for thought...especially since tomorrow is National Seniors Day. The Ministry of Health and Long Term Care is looking for feedback for its Dementia Strategy, to be released in 2017. I was invited to attend a stakeholder round-table with provincial officials in the Spring and their enthusiasm for this project was very encouraging.

If you are a family caregiver or work with individuals who have dementia, your insights are very important. We had the honour of attending a luncheon on the weekend to celebrate the life of a longtime client who had passed away two weeks ago. This "feast" is part of Hindu tradition and generally follows the funeral by 12 or 13 days. So wonderful to see how the family had begun the healing process and to be part of a very special cultural tradition. - Lisa
