Yesterday, Brookside Living celebrated by spreading a little sweetness around our community. We dropped off coffee and cookie baskets to the amazing teams at Ottawa Paramedics Services and the Ottawa Police Service as a small token of appreciation.

Thank you for the kindness, compassion, and dedication you show our city every single day. Your service doesn’t go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for everything you do. 💙🚑🚓

Today at Brookside Living, our hearts gathered as one. Together, residents, families, and staff paused to remember the courage, sacrifices, and stories of those who served and continue to serve our country. These moments of remembrance hold deep meaning in our home, especially for those who carry memories of loved ones who once stood in uniform.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the Kanata Legion for leading a touching and meaningful ceremony. Your presence brought history, honour, and reflection into our halls, and we are truly thankful.

We remember. We honour. We will never forget.

We were excited to get our hands on the 2026 Firefighter Calendar, featuring from The New HOT 89.9 FM! Our residents had a great time flipping through and cheering on one of Ottawa’s favourite Radio Hosts! 📻👨‍🚒

What makes it even better?
Every calendar sold helped support The CHEO Foundation making a difference for kids and families right here in our community. 💛

🎰✨ Vegas came to Brookside Living! ✨🎰

Lady Luck was on our side as we brought the glitz and glam of Vegas right to Brookside! Our residents had a blast spinning the reels on our human slot machine — laughter, cheers, and a few “jackpots” filled the room! 🃏💰🎉

Even better, our lucky winners took home Brookside Bucks to use in our wacky auction next month — we can’t wait to see what treasures they’ll bid on! ❤️
