✨ Resident Artist Spotlight: Lorraine Kwan 🎨♻️
We are beyond proud to celebrate the extraordinary talent of our resident, Lorraine Kwan, whose recent exhibit at Wellington West left us inspired and in awe.
Lorraine is an internationally recognized wearable arts designer who transforms discarded materials into breathtaking fashion and mixed-media art. From intricately layered button mosaics to sculptural lamp designs and award-winning “Trash Fashion” garments showcased in California and New York, her work proves that sustainability and haute couture can beautifully coexist.
Her creations have been featured at events such as the Port Moody Wearable Arts Awards, Harmony Arts Festival, and exhibitions in Nevada City, Queens Botanical Gardens, and New York City’s High Line. Using reclaimed plastics, fabric waste, keyboard components, and everyday materials, Lorraine reimagines what others might throw away turning waste into wonder.
What makes this even more remarkable is that this level of artistry lives right here within our community. Lorraine embodies creativity without limits and reminds us that passion does not retire.
Thank you, Lorraine, for sharing your vision, your innovation, and your heart with us. You elevate our community and inspire us to see beauty everywhere. 💚
If you would like to experience the vibrant lifestyle and incredible talents within Wellington West, we would be delighted to welcome you.
