The Cat Hospitals: Ottawa's only veterinary hospitals devoted exclusively to cats! At Merivale Cat Hospital, we exclusively see cats!

That means there are no barking dogs in the waiting room who can upset your cats! Our cat-only veterinary hospital is dedicated to the health and well-being of your feline family. Merivale Cat Hospital was founded by Dr. Doug Boeckh more than 25 years ago. Dr. Chermain Yui and Dr. Kelly Batten make up our team of cat-loving veterinarians. Our veterinary and technical team has experience treating a wide range of cat personalities, from the very nervous to the very grouchy. We are equipped with an in-house laboratory, X-ray machine, full anesthetic, surgical suite, and dental facilities. Ultrasonography and endoscopy can be arranged if needed. Plus we carry a range of specialty cat foods. After-hours emergencies and unexpected medical concerns happen, and it can be difficult to know what to do. Please review the Merivale Cat Hospital holiday hours and clinic closures. Appointment availability can be limited during the holiday season. Veterinary technicians will be available to provide services, such as nail trims, on December 27 and December 29 by appointment. Oh, by gosh, by golly, cats should not have mistletoe or holly! Keep these common holiday plants away from your cats this season- especially lilies. If your cat ingests any of these plants, it will likely experience vomiting and diarrhea. Lilies are highly toxic; even if your cat ingests small amounts, call your veterinarian right away. Have a safe and happy holiday!
