“I wanted to share a cool experience I had in a treatment today!

Client (31 F) was in a car accident at 17 years old. She got thrown around quite a bit and hit the back and left side of her head multiple times. She's done tons of physical therapy to get as well as she is, but she still has constant pain and her left side "seizes up" 2-3 times per year. She also says talking and chewing are super fatiguing to the point that she's battling an eating disorder. She mentioned this in passing and that she's going to a mental health therapist to work through it because a doctor after her car accident told her it was permanent nerve damage and she was going to have to live with it. I asked if I could feel around in her neck and jaw and found the left side of her neck lacking completely in tone. I asked her if she could flex the muscle and she could not (before picture).

I addressed the neck and shoulder pain that she came in for and then spent the last 5 minutes or so on the platysma, SCM, sternocostal joints, hyoid, and longus colli on both sides. Cue the after picture and big fat tears because she could, in her words, "swallow normally" for the first time since she was 17. Shared with her permission.

A professional established clinic since 2003, with experienced Health Professionals in Registered Massage Therapy, Chiropractic, Traditional Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. We offer premium treatments with a focus on Chronic Pain, providing relief using a variety of techniques such as cranial sacral, myofascial release, advanced pelvic techniques, deep tissue, TMJ dysfunction treatments, Lymphatic Drainage, we also use modalities such as LASER, Ultrasound and Electrotherapy effective in reducing inflammation pain and swelling. Our clinic focuses on an Integrated approach to increase mobility, reduce pain and improve quality of life. We chose our symbol to be the Goddess Nike she is the God of Triumph, Victory and Strength and would be on soldiers shields going into battle, this is how we approach treating your pain!

We treat many conditions such as TMJ dysfunction, low back pain, tendonitis, sciatic pain, Whiplash, Concussions, chronic pain, muscle spasms, plantar fasciitis, Hip/groin pain, frozen shoulder, sports injuries/training pre and post event, pregnancy discomfort, (prenatal/postnatal with pillowing) Fibromyalgia, Low back pain, migraines/headaches and general stress and tension reduction associated to computer work, personal stresses and over use. We are covered under extended INS coverage and will directly bill for Veterans, RCMP and Motor Vehicle Accident Claims. (All Massage Therapists are Registered with the CMTO in Ontario and carry individual liability insurance)

Our Chiropractor Dr. Randi-lee Joy provides 1 hour initial sessions that provide a thorough assessment and diagnosis followed by 30min subsequent sessions, she can provide a gentler approach with an activator device as well as incorporating manual therapy with appropriate exercises.

Our Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner Eileen Seto, provides treatments for Women’s Health, Hormone management, Migraines/headaches, sinus issues, improving energy, Nerve pain, muscle spasms, rosacea, acne control, Pain relief by calming of the Central Nervous System, treatments for depression, anxiety, Insomnia, addiction, regulation of Digestion, Weight loss. Eileen will combine the use of Chinese Herbal remedies with traditional acupuncture to get the most efficient and effective lasting results.
