Sometimes you have to let the familiar go, if you want to continue to grow.
Hatching is hard work, and some species take days of cramped and tiring labour to break out of their shell... The shell that has been the only world they have ever known. The shell is both shield and sustenance. A rich garden that provides all the nourishment they need until they grow so much, that they no longer fit. What drives this hatching process? How can they be convinced to leave? A deep innate call, signals from the external world, and of course, discomfort.
Noticing our own discomfort can help us determine if, and what type of change may serve us too.
And though change can feel disorienting, hard, tiring and deeply uncertain, leaning into the growth experience that each step brings, can provide all the energy needed for the journey.
