ABC Pediatric Therapies is an established multidisciplinary and bilingual speech therapy clinic in the heart of Orleans.

Two Therapists, One Vision!

Sharon and Anick, Speech-Language Pathologists founded ABC Pediatric Therapies Inc. in Ottawa's East end after years of experience working in a variety of pediatric settings. Through conversations with parents, doctors, and other community providers, they saw a unique opportunity to bring together a multidisciplinary team of professionals under one roof in order to help serve the Orleans, and surrounding communities, through fun, engaging and evidence-based child and youth development services.

🎉 Babble Buddies starts THIS WEEK in Ottawa! 👶🎶

Babble Buddies Circle Time is an interactive, play-based group for babies and their caregivers, created by pediatric speech-language pathologists. Sessions are led by trained Communicative Disorders Assistants, with a focus on building early communication skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Through songs, movement, books, and play, you’ll learn simple, evidence-based strategies to support your child’s development, from babbling to first words.

Each week focuses on a different topic (gestures, play, early language, and more), helping you feel confident and supported as your child grows.

🌙👧 Is Your Child Showing Signs of Tongue Thrust While Sleeping? 👧🌙

Parents, did you know that tongue thrust isn’t just noticed when your child is awake!? Early detection during sleep can help prevent speech, swallowing and dental issues later on.

Watch for these signs while your child is sleeping:

💤 Mouth breathing – sleeping with mouth open instead of through the nose

👅 Low or forward tongue posture – tongue not resting on the roof of the mouth

💦 Drooling – saliva escaping due to tongue position

😴 Snoring or noisy breathing – may signal airway or posture issues

🦷 Teeth grinding – related to tongue posture or dental alignment
