That’s what the Montreal–Toulouse model, from Dr. Christophe Bedos and his team at McGill University and the University of Toulouse, takes on. With a biopsychosocial approach, it invites dentists to think beyond the operatory toward public health, community partnership and social impact.

The Association of Canadian Faculties of Dentistry’s (ACFD) work and projects reach you long after graduation from dental school.

From continuing education and leadership training to shaping policies and best-practice guidance, ACFD helps support dentists across Canada. Right now, they’re working with Health Canada, alongside the CDA, on solutions to mediate the impacts of the Canada Dental Care Plan on dental schools, while also advocating for stronger provincial funding and modernizing curricula for what today’s patients need.
