Each February, in recognition of , RNAO proudly celebrates the achievements, leadership and contributions of Black nurses. This is also a time to reflect on the conditions in which Black nurses live and work, and on the systemic forces that continue to produce racial and other forms of inequities in health care, education, and society more broadly. Black History Month calls on us not only to honour the past, but to act decisively in the present.
