We hear a lot about slowing down, being calm, finding your center. And honestly, it doesn’t always look the way people make it sound.
It’s not just meditation or sitting in silence.
For many of us, it’s much simpler — and much more personal.
It might be journaling to clear your head.
Going for a walk without tracking steps.
Doing something with your hands like drawing, cooking, knitting, or gardening.
Even a few quiet minutes with your coffee before the day gets loud.
The point isn’t what you’re doing.
The point is how your body feels when you do it.
If your shoulders drop, your breath slows, and you feel a little more like yourself — that counts.
You don’t need to follow someone else’s version.
Find what helps you reset, and make space for it regularly. That’s enough.
