Today we said farewell to our high school student volunteer, Ava from Nepean High School, who has been with us since September completing her co-op placement. Ava has been a wonderful addition to our team, and we are grateful for her hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication.Her time with us has been a pleasure, and we are grateful for the effort and care she put into her role. As she moves on to her next chapter, we wish her continued success in her studies and all the best in her future goals. She will be greatly missed, and we thank her for the meaningful impact she made during her time with us.

What a wonderful morning! Our second-floor residents were treated to a lively and joyful performance by Roxy Swan. The room was filled with music, laughter, and smiles as everyone enjoyed lots of singing and dancing. It was a fantastic way to start the day and truly lifted everyone’s spirits! 🎶💃🕺

The weather outside may have been frightful, but we had a truly wonderful time at our BeaverTail and hot chocolate social! Our food service manager Nick really outdid himself. Guests enjoyed three kinds of homemade BeaverTails -the classic with lemon, candy cane peppermint, chocolate syrup, all paired perfectly with a cozy cup of hot chocolate. It was a delicious way to warm up and enjoy the snowy afternoon together. For some, it was their very first time trying a BeaverTail, making the experience even more special. ❄️☕

We celebrated a truly extraordinary milestone today.Ruth turned 101 years old! 🎉 What a joy and privilege to honor such a remarkable life. The day was filled with smiles, laughter, and love as we gathered for a birthday party complete with cake and ice cream, making the celebration as sweet as the occasion itself.

Breakfast Buffet Delight!

Residents enjoyed a delicious breakfast buffet prepared by our food service manager Nick and his wonderful team. The menu featured classic breakfast favorites, including crispy bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs, fruit salad and other morning staples. It was a warm and satisfying start to the day that everyone truly enjoyed!

Our pet visits with Monty, made possible through a valued partnership with St. John’s Ambulance, are designed to bring comfort and joy to the community. Monty’s calm presence and friendly nature helps create moments of connection, reassurance, and the smiles say it all. Happy birthday! 🎂 🎉

Today was a truly special celebration as we came together to honor our January birthdays in the best way possible. The festivities were filled with wonderful entertainment from the bluesy swing duo.Their smooth rhythms and soulful sound had everyone tapping their feet and enjoying the moment.

After the music, we gathered to indulge in a classic birthday treat—delicious cake and refreshing ice cream—which added the perfect sweet ending to an already joyful celebration. It was a day full of laughter, music, and togethernes.

Happy New Years Eve 🍾🥂✨

What a year it has been! We closed it out in the best possible way, celebrating together at our New Year’s Eve cocktail party. The evening began with great company, flowing cocktails, and fantastic entertainment by the lucky streak jazz band.

A huge shoutout and sincere thank you to Nick - our food service manger- and his wonderful team for their incredible work behind the scenes and for preparing such a delicious evening meal.

As we counted down to midnight (early) we reflected on the year behind us — the moments, milestones, mememories that made it so special, and looked ahead with excitement and optimism for what the new year will bring.

Some of our residents enjoyed a wonderful evening social, coming together to bake up a storm and share in the joy of a much-loved classic — apple crumble. The kitchen was filled with the warm, comforting aroma of baked apples and cinnamon as everyone took part, from peeling and mixing to chatting and laughing along the way.

For some residents, it was their very first time trying apple crumble, making the experience even more special. Watching them taste and enjoy something new was a real highlight of the evening.
