Our residents enjoyed a beautiful scenic drive today, taking in the peaceful charm of whats left of fall- snow dusted trees, crisp air, and gentle seasonal views which made the outing relaxing and refreshing. It was a wonderful opportunity to get out, explore the scenery, and share the simple joy of the start of a winter landscape together.

Tonight we transformed our theatre into a lively pub for our Grey Cup Pub Night! Guests enjoyed delicious pub-style food prepared by our wonderful Food Service Manager, Nick, and then settled in to watch the big game on the big screen: the Montreal Alouettes vs. the Saskatchewan Roughriders. It was a cozy, spirited evening filled with great food, great company, and Grey Cup excitement. 🏈

Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis has entered the building! 🎤✨Tonight, we were treated to a truly unforgettable performance by Elvis himself — bringing the spirit of rock ’n’ roll alive once more. The excitement didn’t stop there, as we also enjoyed a glamorous surprise appearance from Marilyn Monroe, adding a touch of Hollywood sparkle to the evening.

The highlight of the night was an extra special moment when one of our very own residents took the stage alongside Elvis, performing with an Elvis marionette he lovingly crafted when he was just 16 years old. Complete with blue suede shoes, the performance was a heartfelt tribute to the King of Rock and Roll — and a memory we’ll all treasure! 💙🎶

Today, our community came together to observe Remembrance Day, honoring the courage and sacrifices of those who served in times of war, conflict, and peacekeeping missions.

A few of our veterans took part in today’s Remembrance Day ceremony, proudly assisting with the proceedings and paying tribute to those who served our country. Their participation added a meaningful personal touch to the event, reflecting our community’s deep respect and gratitude for the sacrifices made by Canada’s veterans.

At lunchtime, our veterans gathered together to share a meal, enjoying one another’s company while exchanging stories, memories, and experiences from their time in service. It was a heartwarming moment of connection, reflection, and camaraderie—honoring the spirit of remembrance and the bonds that unite those who have served.

On behalf of the Rosepark team,we extend our heartfelt thanks to all our veterans for their courage, dedication, and service to our country.

Our veterans spent a meaningful afternoon at the Canadian War Museum, exploring the exhibits and reflecting on the stories of courage, service, and sacrifice that have shaped our history. The visit was especially memorable when one of our residents discovered a tank on display that had once been used by his very own regiment—a powerful reminder of the personal connections and shared experiences that unite generations of service members.

We thank all our veterans for their service and sacrifices. Your courage and dedication will never be forgotten.

A saturday afternoon well spent! We enjoyed an incredible performance by the wonderfully talented Robin Averill. 🎶 From soulful melodies to joyful tunes that had everyone smiling, Robin brought such an uplifting energy that filled the whole space. It was one of those moments where time seemed to slow down — where music, friendship, and simple pleasures all came together in the most heartwarming way. 💛

Between sips of milkshakes, bursts of applause, and shared laughter, the afternoon became something truly memorable — a little reminder of how lovely life can be when you’re surrounded by good people, good music, and good energy!

Our residents had a wonderful time at the Ottawa Christmas Craft Show held at the Nepean Sportsplex! 🎄✨ They enjoyed exploring the many unique vendor booths, discovering beautiful handmade gifts, and even getting some of their Christmas shopping done early.
