CNA was proud to join the Nurses Association of Jamaica (NAJ) on April 20 for a webinar on planetary health with Jamaican nurses.

At NAJ’s invitation—following recent climate-related disasters in the region—CNA’s SECN representative Ankur Patel shared insights on planetary health in the Canadian context, alongside leaders from the Canadian Association of Nurses for the Environment, Zachary Daly and Dr. Jacqueline Avanthay-Strus.

This session created space for shared learning and highlighted the importance of global collaboration as nurses respond to the growing impacts of climate change on health.

Thank you to NAJ for this meaningful exchange. 🌍

L’AIIC était fière de se joindre à la Nurses Association of Jamaica (NAJ) le 20 avril pour un webinaire sur la santé planétaire, offert aux infirmières et infirmiers jamaïcains.

À l’invitation de la NAJ — à la suite de récentes catastrophes liées au climat dans la région — le représentant de l’AIIC au sein de l’Alliance SECN, Ankur Patel, a présenté le contexte canadien en matière de santé planétaire, aux côtés de leaders de l’Association canadienne des infirmières et infirmiers pour l’environnement (CANE-ACIIE), Zachary Daly et Dre Jacqueline Avanthay-Strus.

Cette séance a favorisé un apprentissage partagé et mis en lumière l’importance de la collaboration mondiale alors que le personnel infirmier fait face aux effets croissants des changements climatiques sur la santé.
