We are always so proud to support such a wonderful cause like the Ottawa Food Bank. Thank you to everyone who helps give to this wonderful cause. We are still taking non-perishable food items until December 18th at Oakpark Retirement Community and other Riverstone Retirement Communities.

A big thank you to the Owner Atieh Mirkhani and staff at for this wonderful gift for our staff especially during this busy time of the year. We each tried a bit and it is delicious. We will be trying more in the New Year.

Last night's outing to the was a wonderful tim. We started the trip dining on some delicious and pop the headed straight to Wesley Clover Park to see the amazing sights. Even our wonderful per ambassador Milo got to see the lights and he loved it.

The first Saturday Oakpark welcomes an wonderful Volunteer singing group called the FBCFI group. Sometimes there's a group that comes and sometimes it's just one. But they delight every time they come.

We thank all of our Volunteers who come to our home.

Yesterday we held our first Holiday Exchange Bazaar. Residents and the community were able to bring in gently used items to donate, and then they could pick from other items that had been donated.

If they were not able to bring in donations they could make a donation to the Ottawa food bank.

For our first of many of these bazaars it was a great success. People are already asking when the next one will be.

Today we celebrated our first of many Holiday parties with Arlene Quinn. Our kitchen team prepared a feast of deviled eggs, pin wheel sandwiches, fruit and cheese platter, the most amazing chocolate mousse trees and dark fruit cakes. There were Yule logs, and Macarons, mini cheesecakes and so much more.

We even got a visit from Santa Claus and his daughter Noel from the North Pole. Well Santa had to leave Noel Claus stayed to dance the afternoon away. Santa told us that everyone has made the nice list this year.

It was so much fun.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here at Oakpark Retirement. Resident and Staff dressed up in their best Christmas Sweaters well decorating the trees of Oakpark. We are looking forward to all the goodies, decorations and music this season has to offer.
