Talk about maternal mental health.
Talk about maternal mental health.
Because for 9 months we carry a tiny life within us, growing and evolving; stardust turned to breath.
Talk about maternal mental health.
Because everyone always asks “how’s the baby” and rarely, “how’s mom”.
Talk about maternal mental health.
Because in the dead of night, while rocking baby back to sleep, is when the tears fall.
Talk about maternal mental health.
Because raising littles is a job- exhausting and exhilarating; happy and sad; easy and hard.
Talk about maternal mental health.
Because post partum doesn’t end at 6 weeks or 6 months or 6 years.
Talk about maternal mental health.
Because mothers shouldn’t have to carry the weight alone or struggle in silence.
Talk about maternal mental health.
Because every mom has doubts, fears, insecurities and challenges.
Talk about maternal mental health.
Because it’s important. Because it’s necessary.
Talk about maternal mental health.
Because, like baby, mom needs to be held too.

Creating A Birth Plan 🤰🏼✨
Everyone has an idea of how they want their labour & delivery to go. Sometimes it happens the way you want and sometimes it doesn’t. Prepare yourself and your support team for both.
Creating a birth plan is a great way to have an open conversation with your partner and your team about what you want (and don’t want!) done to you and/or your baby. I suggest creating a plan in the 3rd trimester. That way, you have time to discuss it with everyone who will be with you on the day of and you can change it if need be! And of course, always have a copy on hand the day of… just incase 😉
Need help creating a birth plan? Or don’t know where to start? Let me help! DM me for more info or to set up a meeting.

39 weeks.

I’ve been using these last couple of weeks to reflect.

3 pregnancies; 3 periods of transformation, growth and transition.

How lucky am I to create and carry life in my sacred womb? To harness the strong feminine energy within, passing magic to a new soul.

Pregnancy is hard; motherhood is harder.

But, like anything, there are little glimmers throughout the days that make the hard worthwhile, the chaos calm and the sad, happy. It’s a daily balance of duality and knowing both are true on this journey.

Life is changing, yet again, and my fears are being met with excitement. The push and pull of the masculine vs the feminine. The intuition vs the logic. The heart vs the mind.

Duality.

A new season of change, and one that I’m ready for ✨🤍

Instagram! HI!

Back in December, I felt the need to turn inward and take a break from social media. I found myself burning out from trying to keep up. Trying to keep up with creating and posting content; raising my daughters and family life; taking care of myself, etc.

7 months later, I’ve decided to creep back and though I won’t be fully active on here just yet, I thought I’d give a little glimpse of life lately.

Life has been full! My oldest daughter finished her very first year of school; my baby turned one and is a busy little monkey chasing her older sister all around. Summer is in full swing and we’re taking advantage of it. Hectic, but happy.

I started my own little baking business! Check out .confections if you like treats and want some goodies. Everything is delicious, made to order, from scratch, in my kitchen.

I have another baby on the way! I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant and though this happened a little sooner than we were planning, we’re very excited.

All this to say, I’ve been an RMT for almost 11 years now. I’m truly blessed to do something I love and interact with great people every day. I count myself lucky to have made it this long in my career and hope to continue for many years to come. At this time in life, my focus is shifting to my family and taking a step back from practice. I’ve been honestly mourning this change for some time now, but I know in my heart this is the move I need to make. Thankfully, I have a wonderful husband who not only supports this decision to stay home with the kids, but encourages it. Practice can wait, my children cannot. I praise the working moms and SAHM alike. Our jobs are not easy and I will definitely be adding “Mom” to my resume.

So. If you’ve made it this far, thank you for taking the time. The time to read this. The time trusting me with your body + health journey. The time spent in my treatment room. This isn’t goodbye, but a see ya around ✌🏻✨

✨ 10 YEARS! ✨
(TLDR) This month, I celebrate 10 years as an RMT. A decade! Time sure does fly and though there have been some hard days, I truly love what I do.
I’m pretty proud of myself as I look back on my career thus far. I’ve worked with professional athletes; babies; expectant mothers; veterans; first responders and everyone in between. I’ve taught courses, have guest spoken to massage students, had articles published and have been nominated for a few massage therapy awards. I’ve been pretty lucky.
My biggest take away over the last ten years is the relationships I’ve built with clients, peers and colleagues. I’m absolutely blessed to work with some of the most talented, smartest people I know- clients and therapists alike. I love this job because of you.
SO! If you’ve ever been treated by me, taped up on the side of the field by me or have worked with me- thank you. Thank you for trusting me with your body, your health and your journey. I’m so looking forward to what the next 10 years bring 🖤

6 months ago I gave birth to my second baby. Since then, my fitness has been put waaaay on the back burner.
Sure, I’m constantly moving, lifting, bracing, breathing, rehabbing… but I couldn’t tell you the last time I did a movement with intention or any kind of workout. I could tell you all the excuses though: fatigue; a screaming baby; sickness; time; etc etc etc.
This morning, after a very snowy walk, I stopped with the excuses and did a quick flow. Nothing too serious, no major goals in mind. All I wanted to do was come back to my body through gentle movements. And man, it felt good.
Post partum can be tricky to navigate sometimes. We often forget about ourselves in the chaos that life, and parenthood, brings. It’s finding the time to do things that bring us joy, calmness and back to ourselves. Even if it’s only for 5 minutes.
Want to move together? Let’s connect!
Want to grab a tea + chat? I’m there!
Whatever it is you want, do it for yourself today. You not only deserve it, you need it ✨🤍

Gosh, it’s been a while since I’ve been on here 🙋🏼‍♀️
Part of me feels guilty for not being active and posting content, but the other part of me is okay to step back and enjoy the quiet moments with baby and family. It’s all about balance, eh?
Just a reminder that I have virtual appointments available every Tuesday for post- partum rehab and check ins. You can book through the link in my profile.
This week, I’m teaching baby massage to a group of moms and I’m so excited! If you want to learn some techniques and the importance of massage, reach out! I’d love to work with you! ✨
Oh. I have purple hair now. My 4 year old wanted us to have “unicorn princess hair” so, she got pink highlights and I went purple. Gotta keep life fun! 🦄
