Shoe manufacturers use different lasts depending on the shoe they are building. For this reason, it is always recommended to try the shoes on before purchasing... even if you know your usual shoe size!

Q: Why are all shoes different sizes? 👟👠👞🥾

A: When you look at all your shoes, you may notice they are all different sizes. This is because all shoes are made from a mould called a “last”.

These moulds of the shoe come in various shapes and sizes, depending on the manufacturer and the shoe model. Because all lasts have a unique design, some brands and styles tend to fit you better than others.

Lasts differ in width, depth, overall shape and even slightly in length, which will affect the fit of the shoe.

It’s always best to try shoes before purchasing, as a new brand or model may fit you very differently!
