Mid‑break slumps are real — and they’re normal.

Slowing down, resting together, or choosing something simple isn’t “wasted time.”
These quieter moments support regulation, connection, and nervous systems that are doing their best.

You’re not behind — you’re listening. 💛

Getting ready isn’t just about leaving the house — it’s a moment to connect. When we invite our children in the process, even in small ways, we slow down, share the plan, and let them feel capable and included.

Little choices, little hands helping…it all builds confidence, connection, and cooperation.

We’re asking our community for support.

53,000 adults with developmental disabilities in our communities are waiting far too long for the services they need to live safely and with dignity. Families and caregivers are doing their best, and local non-profit organizations are working hard every day, but the system does not have the resources it needs to keep up. We can do better in the up-coming provincial budget.

Local agencies want to keep providing stable services, but rising costs and limited funding make that increasingly difficult.

👉 You can help by signing a petition calling on the Ontario government to increase funding for developmental services:
https://communitylivingontario.ca/waiting-to-belong/

Without adequate funding and coordinated planning, too many people are left without safe, appropriate supports. This can lead to unnecessary hardship for individuals and families and creates pressure across the entire community.

By signing the petition, you’re adding your voice to a call for a more inclusive system, one that reflects the values of dignity, belonging, and care.

Thank you for standing with our community.
