In perimenopause, progesterone levels are dropping, but estrogen, specifically estradiol is still going strong.

That's where we get the term estrogen dominance.
Estrogen dominance is a hallmark of perimenopause.

What makes up the endocrine system?

The main players are the female ovaries, pituitary gland, thyroid gland, adrenal glands, pancreas, hypothalamus and the male te**es.

What do endocrine disruptors do?

They tell cells to die prematurely, compete with essential nutrients, and imitate hormones like estrogen and more!

Endocrine disruptors have been linked to breast cancer, prostate cancer, uterine cancer and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).

This statement makes sense - especially when we know that HRT can lower the risk of breast cancer, heart disease, endometrial cancer, Alzheimer's and dementia and more...

Healthier eating can seem daunting to people, but it doesn't have to be.🙄

The first step to healthier eating is changing your mindset.

We tend to think it will be too much work, groceries will be expensive, and the food won't taste as good.

Thinking this way sets you up for failure before you've even begun.

The benefits that you'll get from eating a healthier diet FAR outweigh any planning that will go into your new way of eating; healthier-looking skin, more energy, more focus, less brain fog and the list goes on...

You don't have to start buying all organic foods; you can begin slowly and use resources like the dirty dozen to help tailor your grocery list to keep costs lower.

Also, you don't have to change your pantry in one shot, start buying more healthy ingredients a little at a time.

Talk to local farmers to find the best-priced options for grass-fed meats.

As for the taste... if you've been eating a highly-processed diet for years - addicted to sugar, fat and salt- yes, this may feel like you're moving from gourmet to grass- but your taste buds will adjust, and you'll find, sooner than later, that you no longer like foods that taste fake or like chemicals.

Changing how you eat is a process.

Take your time- explore new foods and new ways of cooking those foods.

Keep an open mind and stay curious.

Remember, this is your health- taking care of it may just give you the vibrant, energy-filled life you've dreamed of!

Estradiol cream, at adequate amounts, similar to the childbearing years or premenopause levels, helps to reduce the risk of breast cancer, endometrial cancer, colon cancer, osteoporosis, dementia, Alzheimer's, urogenital atrophy.

And really, you just have a better quality of life.
