Serenity House Inc. Serenity House Inc. is an inpatient treatment program for men struggling with addiction and mental health issues, operating in Ottawa since 1969.

Our Residential Treatment Program consists of treatment planning, educational sessions, relapse prevention, case management, group and individual counseling, harm reduction, life skills training, discharge planning, as well as community education and awareness; these services are delivered by skilled, professional staff. Serenity House operates an additional 24 beds in 3 separate Supportive Houses for those who require additional support and to provide a safe environment free from alcohol and drugs where people can start to put into practice the skills learned in treatment. Best practices suggests at least one year in a drug-free environment for better long-term results; clients are encouraged to excel in skills needed to become self-sufficient and return to the work force with a strong commitment to on-going abstinence from addictive substances. This service fills a much needed gap in the community as after treatment, most clients require this unique extended care. Serenity House is a member of both The Federation of Mental Health and Addictions Programs and of Addictions Ontario. We stay involved in our community through our dedicated Board of Directors and by our membership and work on numerous volunteer committees and boards in order to help promote integration for better health for all people of our Champlain District.

To celebrate Serenity House's 55 years of dedication, join us for our community event on September 20th between 5:00pm and 7:30pm!

The evening promises inspiration, connection, and celebration—all in support of our mission to empower and uplift those in need. Just to give you an idea, picture this: Saunders Farm adorned with captivating black-and-white photographs—each frame telling a story of resilience, transformation, and community from our present and past clients. Our photo exposition will be a visual journey through the lives touched by Serenity House.

Along the exposition, we’ll gather for a delightful dinner and entertainment, celebrating the spirit of compassion that binds us all. A BBQ, live music, story telling, speeches, draws, and much more! Be part of the change!
