Second Day in the Life at Maplewood — what a fantastic day!
We started with energizing morning exercises, followed by relaxing yoga and lively tunes at the Java Music Club. The afternoon featured a lunch-and-movie watch party in the main lounge, with a delicious meal and spectacular desserts prepared by our amazing team.
Special visitors added even more joy, making the day full of laughter, connection, and community. Another memorable day at Maplewood!

Today is National Chili Day, and at Maplewood we turned up the heat with our very own Chili Cook-Off Competition!
As part of our Thursday “Day in the Life” theme, the community came together to cook, taste, judge, and celebrate some seriously delicious creations. From classic homestyle recipes to bold and spicy twists, the flavours did not disappoint!
Residents, team members, and family enjoyed every spoonful while sharing laughs, stories, and a little friendly competition.

What an unforgettable afternoon at Maplewood! 🇨🇦🥇

We were truly honoured to welcome a very special guest who shared the inspiring story of the RCAF Flyers and Canada’s Olympic gold medal victory. Having the opportunity to see Albert “Ab” Renaud’s gold medal in person made the experience even more meaningful for our residents and team.

Happy Lunar New Year!
This morning, during our Chinese culture presentation, we learned a bit of Tai Chi, enjoyed traditional dances and costumes, and celebrated with a special dinner prepared by our amazing kitchen team. Our resident and volunteer Pat also handed out fortune cookies to all 🥠✨
A day full of learning, fun, and flavor to welcome the new year.

Our Women’s Breakfast with Rina was a beautiful way to start the day — delicious food, warm conversations, and so many happy smiles around the table.
Cooking is one of our favourite ways to show love to our residents. Every meal is made with care and heart, because food brings comfort, connection, and joy.

Breakfast with Mely was such a beautiful way to start the day. Delicious, fluffy pancakes fresh off the griddle, warm coffee, and a room filled with laughter and great conversation made the morning extra special.
Just look at those smiles — that’s what good food and even better company can do. Moments like these remind us that it’s not just about the breakfast, it’s about coming together, sharing stories, and creating memories around the table.

February is “Heart Month” and Maplewood was at the St. Laurent shopping mall providing our monthly blood pressure clinic for our mall walker friends. It was so nice to see all of you!

A fantastic day at the Riverstone Winter Olympics.

We are so proud of our Maplewood Orange Team. We went home with full hearts, plenty of laughs, unforgettable memories, and 3 gold medals.

It was a day full of teamwork, energy, and true Olympic spirit.

Thank you to Stirling Park for hosting such a wonderful event and making it all possible.

Way to go, Team Maplewood!
