Do you like to grow food? Do you like to volunteer? Are you retired and want some company? Are you looking to earn your school volunteer hours? Do you miss your garden and wish you could grow food again?
Silver Spring Studio invites you to join us in taking an active role in developing our exciting garden project! All ages and abilities are welcomed! There is something for everyone at the Studio!
2025 was our inaugural year. We were able to grow enough food to support our local food bank, harvest and use our own veggies and even sell some to help support the Studio!
2026 will be better than ever! With the help of the Ottawa Catholic School Board and its Elite Skills Training Academy, the 93 Carpenter’s Union and others we are building an accessible garden! We will have raised beds, a cold Storage, new sheds and so much more! We will also be growing sweetcorn and sunflowers!!
We are introducing indigenous wildflowers, a medicinal bed and even some beehives! There will be opportunities for learning, sharing and making friends.
We are hoping to have our first virtual team meeting in the coming week. The Studio will be open for those who would like to attend in person too.

This is a wonderful community initiative and supports persons with developmental disabilities. We are a non profit program and every penny earned through sales is poured straight back into our Studio.
