Dr. Kim Phung will be joining Central Park Medical Clinic early September 2023 as a pediatrician. She is only accepting patients for specific pediatric concerns with your family doctor referral, NO PRIMARY CARE WILL BE ACCEPTED. Dr. Phung received her medical degree from McGill University and completed her Pediatric Residency at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. She subsequently completed her Pediatric Endocrinology & Metabolism fellowship at CHU Sainte-Justine through Université de Montréal. She is a board-certified pediatrician and pediatric endocrinologist by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She moved back to her hometown of Ottawa to pursue a clinical research fellowship in Pediatric and Genetic Bone Disorders at CHEO, and is now looking forward to provide outpatient pediatric care at the Central Park Medical Clinic.

She will be accepting pediatric medical consultations only (no Primary Care) for a broad range of health issues in children of all ages. She will also be accepting patients for pediatric endocrinology consultations, including, but not limited to growth and puberty disorders, thyroid abnormalities, calcium disorders, vitamin D deficiency rickets, and pediatric obesity.

Dr. Carly Rabin will be joining Central Park Medical Clinic in February 2022 as a Pediatrician. She will be accepting newborns only for primary care at this time, in addition to NICU graduates by consultation only. She will also be accepting referrals in all Pediatric age groups for a variety of medical and behavioral issues, including but not limited to reflux, chronic constipation, chronic abdominal pain, headaches, asthma, eczema, growth problems, menstrual problems, ADHD, behavioral problems, speech delay and other developmental delays.

We are hosting a flu vaccine clinic for patients age 6 months to 5 years on Friday November 26th 9am-3pm by appointment only.

Please call the clinic to schedule your appointment. On the day of the clinic, we ask that you wait in your car until the time of your appointment at which time someone will come to let you in. Please have your child dressed in light layers with easy access to either the thigh (less than 18 months) or upper arm (older than 18 months).

Starting in September, we will be offering COVID-19 Vaccines to eligible people. We will prioritize our patients and patients’ siblings, but it is open to anyone in the community.

Sarah Fitzpatrick will be joining our team in September.

Sarah is a French/English Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist at Achieve Therapy Centre, who has a professional interest in language disorders, reading and writing difficulties, as well as voice and fluency difficulties. She graduated with a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Ottawa. She is currently working with Indigenous and trans populations, with a commitment to increasing service accessibility to underserved populations. Sarah also has experience in stroke rehabilitation and swallowing disorders. When not working, Sarah can be found playing bass with bands around Ottawa or playing board games with friends. She enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.

Dr. Nilceia Lopez De Souza will be joining Central Park Clinic in April, 2021.

Dr. De Souza received her medical degree (MD) from State University of Campinas Medical School (UNICAMP), Sao Paulo, Brazil. She completed her Pediatric Residency and was board certified. She pursued Pediatric Clinical Research, obtaining her doctoral degree (PhD) under the the Dept of Allergy, Immunology and Pulmonary Medicine. She provided pediatric outpatient, emergency and inpatient care, while in Brazil. Subsequently, she obtained a position as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Dept. of Medicine, Division of Allergy & Immunology, University of California (UCSF), in San Francisco, USA , which was concluded in 2005. After moving to Canada (Edmonton, AB) in 2007, she enrolled in a clinical fellowship program in Pediatric Respirology at the University of Alberta. She worked in Edmonton AB for 9 years in general Pediatrics, providing primary care and consultations, before moving to Ottawa,ON.

Dr. De Souza has interest in respiratory illness, such as asthma, upper and lower respi-ratory infections, chronic cough, recurrent wheezing, sleep disordered breathing. She will be accepting pediatric primary care and medical consultations in respirology as well as, but not limited to developmental delay (infants, toddlers), ADHD, behaviour problems, NICU graduate/premature infants, failure to thrive, growth concerns, headaches, eczema, chronic constipation.

Urinary tract infection / vesicoureteric reflux
Urinary incontinence (day time wetting, nocturnal enuresis)
Hydronephrosis (antenatal, post-natal)
Gross hematuria
Urinary calculi
Pe**le problems (phimosis, chordee, hypospadias)
Undescended / retractile te**es
Scrotal swelling (hydrocele, varicocele)

**Please note that if any of the above patients are deemed to require surgery, they will be referred to one of Dr. Leonard’s colleagues at CHEO, as he will not be offering surgical services.**
