At Becky & Co. Medical Foot Care, your safety is always my top priority. As a Registered Nurse, I follow the same Ontario Public Health sterilization protocols used in hospitals and dental clinics — ensuring every instrument is fully sterile for each client. Photo is an example of the kind of setup we follow.

Here’s how I keep your care safe 👇

🔹 Step 1: Cleaning
After every visit, all tools are placed in an enzymatic cleanser to break down debris, then scrubbed, hand-dried, bagged, and prepared for sterilization.
Proper cleaning is essential — sterilization only works on clean instruments.

🔹 Step 2: Autoclave Sterilization
I use a CSA-approved tabletop steam sterilizer (autoclave) that reaches over 132°C (270°F) to eliminate all microorganisms.
✔ Each pouch includes internal & external indicators
✔ Every cycle is logged and verified for time, temperature, and pressure

🔹 Step 3: Safe Storage
Sterilized instruments remain sealed in their pouches until opened at your appointment.

🩺 My 5-Check Sterilization Process:
✅ Enzymatic cleaning + disinfection
✅ Class 5 chemical indicators
✅ Daily biological (spore) testing
✅ Cycle printouts reviewed & logged
✅ Visual inspection & tracking

For added safety, I also use single-use disposable tools when appropriate and follow strict hand hygiene and PPE protocols between every client.
