🦷✨ What you should know about dental plaque

Plaque is a soft white or yellowish film that forms on your teeth. It’s made up of bacteria, food particles, and saliva. If not removed, it hardens into tartar — something your toothbrush can’t clean.

🔹 Types of plaque:
• Soft plaque – forms during the day after eating.
• Bacterial plaque – leads to cavities and gum inflammation.
• Tartar (calculus) – hardened plaque that only a dentist can remove.

❓ Why does plaque form?
• irregular or improper brushing
• sugary foods and coffee
