As we reach the end of this year and step toward a new one, many of us hold two truths at the same time. There is excitement in looking ahead to new horizons and gratitude for the moments that brought light into our lives. There is also reflection, acknowledging the hurdles, losses, and quiet battles that so many have faced this past year.

This community has been such a meaningful and uplifting space, and I want to thank each and every one of you for being part of it. It has been a privilege to connect with so many wonderful people here, and I am continually grateful for the trust, conversations, kindness, and shared strength that live in this space. I cannot imagine a better use of this platform than to serve and support this community.

As we begin our journey into 2026, please know that each of you is in my thoughts today and in the days ahead. May you triumph in 2026 where you felt challenged in 2025. May healing continue gently in the places you’ve been tending, whether quietly on your own or with the support of those around you. May there be peace in your homes and in our communities. And may you accomplish the goals you have been working toward with dedication and courage.

Wishing you strength, hope, and even brighter days ahead 🤍

As the year comes to a close, I want to pause and acknowledge something deeply important 🎄

To every patient who has shown up with commitment, courage, and consistency. I have witnessed the immense effort it takes to follow treatment plans, make difficult lifestyle changes, attend appointments, and continue forward even on days when the path feels heavy. The fertility journey asks so much, and you have given so much of yourselves with grace and determination.

Progress does not always look like a finished destination. Sometimes it looks like growth, resilience, greater self awareness, and improved wellbeing along the way. Even if your journey is still unfolding, please take a moment to recognize how far you have come and the strength it took to get here.

As you move through this season, I hope you allow yourself space to rest, decompress, and reconnect deeply with yourself. Prioritize self care, nourishment, and reflection. Take time to refill your own cup and honour the inner strength that has carried you this far ✨

It has truly been a privilege walking alongside so many of you this year. I am grateful for the trust you place in me, and I look forward to continuing this journey together in the year ahead 🤍

✨ Six clinicians. One missed diagnosis. ✨
Today’s reminder is an important one.

This week I met with someone who had been struggling for years. She had seen six different healthcare providers and still had no explanation for her symptoms. During our visit it became clear that she met the criteria for PCOS, a condition that is surprisingly underdiagnosed. Research suggests that more than 1 in 2 individuals with PCOS remain undiagnosed, and many go years without receiving clarity or support.

When conditions like PCOS are missed, treatment becomes guesswork. Symptoms do not improve because we are not addressing the root concern. One of the most valuable lessons I have learned in clinical practice is that symptoms should never be brushed aside. They deserve to be heard, discussed and validated.

Receiving a diagnosis does not label someone. It gives direction. It helps us understand what is happening and allows us to build a plan that is appropriate, supportive and centered on their goals.

If you have been feeling unheard or unsure where to start, you are not alone. Your concerns are valid and you deserve answers.

✨ “What if one of the gentlest therapies could meaningfully ease some of the most difficult cycle-related symptoms?”

Over the last several years, I’ve integrated Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT laser acupuncture) into care plans for individuals navigating PCOS, dysmenorrhea, endometriosis-related symptoms, and chronic pelvic pain. It’s a noninvasive option and often a helpful choice for those who prefer a needle-free approach. In practice, this has provided much-needed relief for many patients living with cyclical pain, persistent pelvic discomfort, or inflammation-driven symptoms.

A new 2025 randomized controlled trial on dysmenorrhea with autonomic imbalance found that LLLT:
• Significantly improved pain scores compared to sham
• Improved autonomic balance (heart-rate-variability markers)
• Outperformed electroacupuncture in certain HRV measures

What resonates with me is how closely these findings match what I’ve seen in clinic. For the right person, LLLT can support pelvic pain, cramping, inflammation pathways, and overall cycle comfort, always as part of a broader, individualized, holistic treatment approach.

And an important note: Laser acupuncture isn’t the same as LED. To have meaningful therapeutic effects, the energy per point (J) must reach specific clinical thresholds, this is what allows physiological change and symptomatic benefits to occur.

Every case is unique, but LLLT has become a gentle, valuable tool I’m grateful to offer in reproductive and pelvic health care. If you’re curious whether it may fit into your personalized plan, you’re welcome to reach out for more information!

“Unexplained Infertility” shouldn’t mean Unanswered Questions 💛

Up to 6 in 10 people with endometriosis go undiagnosed, yet so many are told their fertility struggles have no clear cause. In the past few weeks alone, I’ve spoken with several individuals who were only recently diagnosed after years of symptoms that were dismissed or minimized.

This gap, between unexplained infertility and underdiagnosed conditions like endometriosis or PCOS, is one we can start to close through advocacy, education and personalized assessments.

Our goal isn’t just to treat infertility, but to help patients understand it, empowering them with the right questions, conversations, and next steps to navigate a complex system. And of course to support them in getting a diagnosis and clear direction for optimal treatment.

In some cases, getting a timely diagnosis may have saved months, or even years, of valuable reproductive time.

You deserve answers, not assumptions. 💛

✨ Don’t underestimate the quiet power of small changes ✨

Most of us feel like time is flying…weeks blending into months, months into years. But those tiny, consistent habits you build? They add up more than you think.

🌿 A 15-minute evening walk? That’s 15,000 extra steps a week.
💧 Swapping your lunchtime cola for water? Over 1 kg less sugar in a month.
🧘‍♀️ A few minutes of meditation? Noticeably better sleep and mood in time.
🍽️ Taking 5 minutes to slow down before eating? Better digestion and less stress.
📞 Calling a friend a couple times a week? A warmer, more connected winter ahead.
💬 Saying hi to that busy coworker? You might just brighten both your days.
🌬️ Taking a few deep breaths at your desk? A quieter mind and steadier energy.

The biggest transformations rarely start with dramatic overhauls. Often they begin with small, consistent moments of care that ripple into something bigger 💛

🚫 Not All “Healthy” Supplements Are Safe for Fertility or Pregnancy
Over the past few months, I’ve seen several patients who were taking natural health products that turned out to be contraindicated for fertility and pregnancy, and in each case, these products had been briefly reviewed by other healthcare providers, but no one had asked them to stop.

So I want to help bring awareness to this important topic. Many supplements contain ingredients that can quietly interfere with fertility treatment, hormone balance, or early pregnancy health. Even commonly used ingredients like excessive Vitamin A or licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra, non-DGL) can pose risks during preconception and pregnancy when not reviewed carefully.

✨ Why this matters:
Before starting or continuing any supplement, especially when trying to conceive, it’s important to have a safety and interaction check done. This helps ensure:
- No hidden contraindications with fertility medications
- No ingredients that could affect implantation or hormone balance
- The correct forms and doses for your current stage of care

As a Fertility Naturopath, my role is to help patients bridge these details: combining evidence-based natural support with fertility medicine safely and effectively.

If you’re preparing for pregnancy or fertility treatment, let this be your reminder to have your supplements reviewed. Sometimes even “healthy” products need fine-tuning to truly support your goals. 💛

Feeling Grateful & Hopeful Today ✨

This morning started with five beautiful emails from patients sharing their positive pregnancy tests 💌, and now I’m diving into the latest research on reproductive health to keep supporting more stories like theirs (Mondays are my research day). 💕

It’s these moments that remind me why evidence-based care matters so much, blending science with compassion to help hope turn into reality.

My little research assistant is keeping a close eye on things too 🐶💻

✨ The journey to a healthy pregnancy starts before the positive test! ✨

Preconception care is one of the most important, and often overlooked, steps in building the foundation for a healthy fertility journey, pregnancy, and postpartum recovery. 💛

It’s not just about increasing your chances of conception, but also about optimizing your overall health so your body is ready to nurture new life.

💡 During this stage, we focus on:
• 🥕 Nutrition & supplements to support egg and s***m health, regulate cycles, and build nutrient stores for pregnancy
• 📈 Blood sugar balance and glucose metabolism to lower the risk of gestational diabetes and hormonal irregularities
• 🔥 Reducing inflammation and oxidative stress as both can impact implantation and early pregnancy
• 💕 Supporting mental health and stress resilience which influence quality of life, sleep and recovery
• 💊 Reviewing nutrients linked to lower risk for complications
•🧘‍♀️ Lifestyle modifications and focus on improving quality of sleep, movement, and environmental toxin reduction that promote hormonal and metabolic balance

✨ Preconception care isn’t just about fertility, it’s about giving your future self and your baby the healthiest start possible.
If you’re thinking about trying to conceive, now is the perfect time to begin preparing your body and mind.
