Sensors and Analytics for Monitoring Mobility and Memory - SAM3 Sensors and Analytics for Monitoring Mobility and Memory (SAM3): solutions to enable an aging population to maintain a healthy and independent lifestyle.

SAM3 is a collaboration between the Bruyère Research Institute and Carleton University in partnership with the AGE-WELL National Centre of Excellence. SAM3 stands for Sensors and Analytics for Monitoring Mobility and Memory. Our focus is research and innovation projects on the application of technology based solutions to enable an aging population to maintain a healthy and independent lifestyle. These solutions are co-created with industry, clinical, academic, and older adults and their families. Through SAM3, regional capacity for industry/clinical/academic/user collaborations will be built. It will assist in understanding the benefits of solutions through trials with real users in clinical and home settings.

**"We all have someone we love—a parent, a grandparent, an aunt or uncle—who wants to stay in their home, living independently for as long as possible. But as they age, safety, mobility, and daily tasks become more challenging.
What if technology could bridge that gap?
From smart home solutions to AI-powered health monitoring, innovation is transforming how we support aging at home.
How do you see technology shaping the future of aging in place?"**

We invite you to join us for an engaging webinar hosted by MOPC Network and MindfulTech Institute, exploring key aging personas and the evolving needs of older adults.

When discussing aging, we often begin with the concept of Aging Well — recognizing that not all older adults face immediate health challenges. From this foundation, we will explore:

- Aging Well – Independent older adults with no specific health concerns.
- Early Mobility Challenges – Those beginning to experience mobility limitations but maintaining full independence.
- Early Cognitive Challenges – Individuals facing the first signs of cognitive change while remaining independent.

For each persona, we will discuss real-world solutions available today to support their well-being. We will also touch on how these needs may evolve over time, leading to more dependence on caregivers and healthcare services—setting the stage for a deeper discussion at our upcoming April event.

"Join us in shaping a future where aging at home is safer, easier, and more dignified."
