Meet Max: Crown & Bridge Craftsman! 👑

For a year and a half, Max has been perfecting crown fittings, polishing metal, and creating beautiful e.max veneers and inlays at Watersedge.

What makes our lab special? "The well-organized work process and positive lab environment."

When not at the bench, Max explores Ottawa's hidden gems on foot, enjoys Mediterranean and Asian cuisine, and creates jewelry as a hobby. Wood carving is next on the list!

Meet Adrian Shaw, our Assistant Lab Manager and QA Technician 👋

Adrian has been a Watersedge team member since we first opened our doors in 2013! 🏢

He evaluates every finished case before it leaves the lab, ensuring each piece meets both our standards and our partners' expectations.

He also works directly with clinicians on challenging cases to determine the best restorative plan for each patient. 🦷

What makes Watersedge special to Adrian? "It's a family business and the staff here feels like one big extended family. I love how my days fly by and how well everyone gets along."

Outside the lab, Adrian enjoys spending time outdoors with his family by playing soccer in the park or biking along the river.

His go-to meal is chicken Pad Thai (extra spicy!) and his favourite movie is Fight Club. 🥊

Meet Shawn Parisien, our Lab Manager 👋

Shawn has been part of the Watersedge family for over 10 years. In his role, he oversees all staff and maintains the positive work environment that helps our team thrive.

He ensures quality and consistency across everything we produce, drives efficiency and productivity, and works directly with clinicians on complex cases. 🔍

What makes Watersedge special? Shawn puts it best: "The positive work environment and true care for the staff is a huge aspect that makes Watersedge a special place. We work hard but laugh while doing it.”

Outside the lab, Shawn is an avid rock climber (indoor and outdoor!) and has even taken up ice climbing and is working toward mountaineering. 🧗

He enjoys the trails near his home with his wife Anna and their dog Petzl. When it comes to food, nothing beats his wife's homemade pizzas. 🍕

Did you know that Watersedge is one of the few remaining privately Canadian-owned, medium-sized dental labs in Ontario? Shawn takes great pride in being a part of this legacy.

Watersedge is a full-service, family-owned and operated dental laboratory located in Ottawa, Canada. We opened our doors in 2013 with just 14 employees and have quickly grown to over 40 employees. We serve hundreds of dentists in Ottawa and the surrounding area, and our rapid growth has been primarily due to word-of-mouth referrals. We believe our goal of delivering a wonderful experience to the patient, office staff and community as a whole, sets us apart.
