At Tea and Toast, we’re on a mission to provide seniors and their families with compassionate and personalized support throughout their retirement living transition. We’ve helped thousands of Ottawa seniors and their families find the right mix of care and amenities. Our team provides the education, knowledge, and support that seniors and their families need to make informed decisions about their future that are rooted in their unique needs. Our services include retirement living search, long-term care navigation, eldercare planning, and workshops. Often, when families try to navigate senior living or long-term care on their own, they spend 80+ hours researching and touring communities. Working with our expert advisors can bring the time spent down to about 5 hours and ensure you feel confident about the decisions being made.

The holidays are a natural time for families to gather. And when we're together, we may notice things about our parents or loved ones that we didn't notice before.

💕 Who the C.A.R.E.S. Grant supports:
• Caregivers supporting a senior loved one
• Those feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or burned out
• Anyone struggling to balance caregiving with work, family, or self-care
• Caregivers needing help finding or accessing local support services
• Those who could benefit from temporary relief
• Caregivers facing financial strain

✨ What the grant offers:
✔ Respite Services: Up to 14 days in a retirement home or up to $2,500 in in-home care — giving you time to rest, focus on yourself, or simply breathe again.
✔ Financial Assistance: Direct support to lessen the financial load of caregiving.
✔ Navigation & Education: Guidance to help you understand your options, access the right resources, and feel more confident on your eldercare journey.

"My parent needs long-term care and I don't know where to start! Help!!!" Accessing the public Long-Term Care system can be confusing, overwhelming, daunting even. We do have a LTC navigation service, where we can help with part of that process, but we also offer our free online course to help families become familiar with the system, learn terminology, and feel confident before reaching our to Ontario Health at Home to get started.
