Registration for December virtual cooking classes is now OPEN!!!

Join me on Sunday, December 8, to make a hearty and delicious chowder and chili. In this interactive lesson, we'll make a creamy white bean & corn chowder that has long been a family favourite. We’ll also make a “meaty” vegan chili. Sounds like an oxymoron, but I’m going to show you how to transform tofu into deliciously meat-like crumbles to create the most satisfying, high-protein chili. Both recipes are vegan, gluten-free, nutritious, delicious, and loaded with plants!

I'm also hosting an appetizer class just in time for the holidays on Sunday, December 22. In this class, we'll make a festive cashew cheese ball, rice paper wraps with tofu, veggies, and peanut dipping sauce, pizza rolls, and—for something sweet—chocolate almond clusters. You can make and enjoy all of these appetizers during and after class or do the prep to have them ready for holiday parties and gatherings. The recipes are vegan and can be fully gluten-free too, if using a GF flour mix for the pizza rolls.

The 2-class bundle is currently on special for $40. If you’d prefer to drop in for specific classes, the cost is $25 per class. Visit my site for the details:

The are holidays upon us! Join me to learn how to make a few nutritious and delicious plant-based recipes including a chili, a chowder and a variety of appetizers that are perfect for parties, gatherings or just staying home for a cozy night in. Hey everyone! For the first time in ages, I'm going to be cooking for a yoga retreat. I've been really picky about what I choose to do these days and I'm very excited for this mini yoga retreat here in Ottawa, for all levels, in partnership with yogi Zoe Stikeman.

Join us for relaxing + uplifting yoga, a healthy and delicious meal, and wine (NA options available) on Saturday, Oct 26.

Here are the details:
- 3:30-4:00 Arrive. Unroll your mat, take a big sigh of relief.
- 4:00-5:00 Yoga. Move your muscles & de-stress during all-levels, feel-good yoga (safe modifications for your joints).
- 5:00-6:00 Savour. Celebrate with delectable catered "waste-free" refreshments from Amy Longard. And kickback during siesta or walk by the river.
- 6:00-7:00 Sip. If you drink wine, enjoy some wine tastings from two experts. (If you're driving, not drinking, or prefer non-alcoholic drinks, you can enjoy zero-proof tastings, too!)
- 7:00-7:30 Yoga. Mini all-levels yoga class for a final stretch.
- 7:30-8:00 Say goodbye & float home!
More details & register here:

Sip, stretch, and savour! Bring your besties, make it a date, or come alone to this one-day yoga retreat. Move your muscles during all-levels yoga, celebrate with delectable refreshments, kickback during siesta, and savour some “low intervention” wine tastings.

It's very hot in Ottawa today (over 30 degrees celsius). I'm so happy I had this veganized Nicoise salad ready for dinner. I prepped the potatoes and green beans this morning before the heat picked up and this evening my dinner came together without an oven or the BBQ. This delicious and filling salad is part of my summer culinary series. We'll be making this on Sunday in my virtual cooking class. If you'd like to join the class, there's still space. You don’t often hear hearty and salad in the same sentence, but in my opinion salads can be a nutritious, satisfying, and versatile option for any meal of the day if you prepare them properly.

Regularly incorporating salads into your diet can have health benefits. Research has shown that diets rich in fruits and vegetables are associated with a reduced risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers. Additionally, the high fibre content of salads supports digestive health and helps regulate blood sugar levels.

I want to make sure you’re eating only the best salads this summer. So head over to my blog for recipes, tips and tricks for making meal-worthy salads that are both nutritious and satisfying:

The warm weather is here, so I'm thinking ahead to summer barbecues and summer produce. With that being said, I'm excited to share that my summer virtual class schedule is up. It's a really fun series featuring high protein summer salads. These are salads that can hold their own as a meal or be served as a hearty side dish. I also included a sandwich class in August because I've had lots of requests for this and sandwiches are my favourite kind of meal. I know summer is a busy time, so if you can't make any of the classes, don't worry, there will be a recording! Looking forward to making delicious salads with you this summer.
