What is RAPID?

RAPID NeuroFascial Reset(NFR) is an active, evidence-based manual therapy that fixes pain by targeting the nervous system’s role in tissue tension. It uses deep, specific pressure combined with client movement to quickly release nerves, muscles, ligaments, and fascia, often resolving chronic issues like sciatica, migraines, and frozen shoulder in short sessions.

Key Aspects of RAPID NeuroFascial Reset:
* Neurologically Focused: Unlike traditional massage that focuses on muscle manipulation, RAPID targets the nervous system to eliminate “threats” and reduce hypersensitivity in tissues.
* Active Treatment: It is not a relaxation massage. It involves active, movement-based techniques where the client participates, often described as intense but effective.
* Lotion-Free & Clothed: The technique is performed without oil or lotion, allowing clients to remain fully clothed.
* Rapid Results: Sessions are shorter (often 30 minutes) and designed to provide quick, lasting pain relief, usually requiring 2–6 treatments.

Common Conditions Treated:
* Headaches and Migraines
* Back Pain and Sciatica
* Shoulder Pain and Frozen Shoulder
* Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
* Plantar Fasciitis and Shin Splints
* Tennis/Golfers Elbow
* TMJ Dysfunction (Jaw Pain)

How it Works:
The therapy addresses chronic pain caused by residual inflammation that hasn’t cleared, which keeps nerves sensitized and muscles in a “locked” state of protection. By applying precise, often uncomfortable stimulation, the therapist initiates a “reset” of this neural pathway to reduce tension.

What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture is one of the core therapies of Traditional Chinese Medicine—and it’s far more than “just needles.”

It’s a precise, evidence-informed way of stimulating the body’s own healing systems.

Using ultra-fine, sterile needles placed at specific points, Acupuncture works by:
• Regulating the nervous system (shifting you out of stress mode)
• Improving blood flow and tissue healing
• Reducing inflammation and pain signals
• Supporting hormonal and organ function

In simple terms: it helps your body communicate better internally.

That’s why people come in for things like pain, stress, digestion issues, headaches, or sleep—and leave feeling more regulated, grounded, and clear.

It’s not about forcing change.
It’s about activating what your body already knows how to do.

Meet the team! -Meet Tony

Tony is our clinic greeter, at times a treatment supervisor, and part time puppy therapist.

He’s here to greet you with love and affection. He’s 4lbs of hypoallergenic love. If you are not a dog person, no worries-please let us know and we will add a note to your chart and make sure he’s in the back room when you arrive.

If you are a dog person, please cozy in on the couch with Tony. He may even want to show you his latest toy or chew thing.

1. Passive vs Active
Massage = you relax
RAPID = you move during treatment

2. Relaxation vs Results
Massage = calming, general relief
RAPID = targeted, fast pain resolution

3. Tissue vs Nervous System
Massage = works on muscles
RAPID = resets the nervous system + pain patterns

Meet the Team!

Hello my name J.P. Brunelle!
I am a Registered Acupuncturist in Ottawa, Ontario where I was born and raised.
I have been in practice since 2005 and have a passion for health care and subjects such as sports medicine, pain, mental health, stress management, longevity, ageing and disease prevention.
I was led to Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine through influences in my family (parents are health care professionals) and my passions (Martial Arts, Meditation, Taoism, Buddhism).
Some of my other interests include music, art, comedy, science, philosophy, nature, social justice and community planning.
As a lifestyle and career path I choose Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as my focus because I truly identify with its philosophy and practices of balance and longevity. I believe TCM has the potential, to offer practical health care solutions that can play a major role supporting global health and wellness.
“My mission is to provide tools and services that help support health + longevity to the global community.”

Meet Keith!

Keith’s passion for hands-on therapy was sparked during his recovery from a concussion in his late twenties. The therapy he recieved at the hands of many skilled therapists had a major impact on his recovery and inspired him to return to school to become an RMT.

Keith’s practice is focused on treating pain and improving function. He excels in treating pain conditions such as tendonitis, sciatic and low back pain, headaches, neck pain, nerve issues and many other common conditions. His curiosity and clinical process lends itself well to the treatment of chronic and long-standing issues.

Keith’s sessions involve the use of movement to achieve powerful releases during treatment, so please arrive for your session dressed in clothing that allows you to move comfortably.

Keith will be starting with us next week! Link in Bio to book online:

Back to the office?
How about back to balance.

Long hours at your desk can lead to headaches, neck & shoulder tension, low energy, and burnout. Acupuncture helps your nervous system reset so you can feel clearer, calmer, and more comfortable at work.

✨ 3,000 years of acupuncture — still one of the best ways to recharge.
