A survey of 1,000 Canadians aged 16–25 found that 40% are emotionally affected by climate change on a daily basis. While eco-anxiety is not officially recognized as a diagnosable condition, its symptoms can be severe—many people report feeling overwhelmed or even paralyzed by it. Despite the challenges in measuring its exact prevalence, the impact is real and growing. According to Statista, eco-anxiety can also serve as a powerful motivator, driving both individual and collective climate action.

CFIR-CPRI clinicians are highly trained mental health professionals and are available to support you. Contact us today to speak to a clinician about Eco-Anxiety. We can be reached by phone at 1.855.779.2347 or by email at admin@cfir.ca.
